Gilbert is speaking live from Atlanta, as he is attending the Faith and Freedom Conference this weekend. He begins today with prayer, especially for President Trump, and reminds us of Matthew chapter 14. If we don't fight for what we have, we never appreciate it and will lose it. Todd references a recent Biden tax-cut commercial, but from history we know, he and his crowd are still lying. Gilbert also talks about a NC $335 grant coming out anyday, and remaining tax deadlines this year. His latest update is a new law concerning landlords and evictions.

Gilbert is back early this year, because the news lately is distressing and he wants people to understand the truth. Let's start with God. Beginning in 2 Thes. 2: 1, Gilbert shares a warning about the deception of our times. Then in Matthew 14:35-36, we see that by simple faith in God we can be perfectly restored. Always ask "What is truth?" Gilbert warns of Biden's scary plan to repeal Trump's tax cuts and raise taxes across the board. He also talks about retirement plans and business elections. Remember: unemployment income is TAXABLE!

Gilbert begins with a foundation in the Bible for these uncertain times: 2 Timothy 3:1-6 and Luke21:25-28. We are seeing these things unfold before our very eyes. With all the talk of business stimulus, Gilbert warns "the only free cheese is in the trap." Gilbert talks PPP, EIDL, unemployment, and the impact on taxes. Document everything!

Gilbert returns to finish out this year's extended tax filing season with some updates to hopefully clear some recent confusion with relief programs. Everyone these days seems to be doing "what is right in his own eyes." So we must always ask, "What is truth?" Gilbert talks about PPP and other programs (rules that are changing almost daily). Important to note is that if the PPP loan is forgiven, expenses paid with that money cannot be deducted. Having an ITIN on the tax return apparently disqualifies people from EIP (aka, stimulus check). Gilbert also offers 9 tips for the self-employed recipient of PPP. Yet, as he repeatedly states, there's still a LOT we don't know...

Gilbert is speaking remotely today, due to Covid-19 shutdowns. The IRS website is slow to update, but be aware of new information. If it is not sourced from IRS.gov, it is NOT OFFICIAL. (Facebook doesn't count!) The IRS is still closed, but Gilbert discusses what we know and don't know about EIDL and EIP, etc. Will you get a stimulus check?? He read John 16:29,33 telling us that Jesus is our Peace and He has overcome the world. Todd read a question from a listener: "Repeat site where non-filers can sign up (for EIP)."

Gilbert is talking taxes remotely today. With things shutting down for the virus, he claims his hair is no longer fabulous without RSL salon. Uncharacteristic of tax season, his office is closed this weekend to disinfect, since the new deadline is July 15, 2020. This will NOT be the last show of the season! With the promise of EIP, IRS is begging folks "DO NOT CALL" and "No action is necessary" to get the payment. However, if you have not filed income taxes in the past two seasons, you can enter your bank information on the irs.gov website. We are still working through issues and loopholes with the government programs, and with the Fed paying $600 weekly for unemployment on top of state funds, some people are making more staying at home than working!
There are three times that Jay reads questions from callers at the station-
1) If I owe federal and state taxes, is July 15th an extension to pay? Yes
2) Have you heard anything on extensions of property taxes? No
3) Woman on disability is concerned that the stimulus in her bank will bump her out of eligibility. Should she immediately withdraw the money? The government knows everyone is getting money.
